Synopsis

There’s an “explanation” as to why and if you suspend your belief for a second there, you can just experience this as a slightly silly but still okay one-time watch. If “Bait” could have sharks roaming a flooded grocery store, France can have sweet water sharks.Story: Far-fetched but fun enough.Length: Could easily have been 20-25 minutes shorter.Acting: Mediocre to good.CGI: Not entirely realistic and partly gave 2000’s videogame vibes. (For instance when the shark pulls Sophia far down into the deep sea in the first few minutes of the film.) For the most part, however, it’s good enough.I think even more shocking than killer sharks under Paris was seeing the massive amounts of trash us humans pump into the ocean. Perspective. Didn’t expect an aquatic horror movie to make me sad but here we are, fam.
